IFA Head Coach Betsy Dunphy on facing a strong front line for the Hawks and challenges on the Cadets side of the net.
“We knew we were going to have a team that was going to hit at us tonight, we knew they were going to score. They’ve got more than one girl that has got an arm that can put a ball down before the 10-foot line. We knew we were going to have to get really gritty with with our defense or that they were just going to get a few of those in each set,” says Dunphy. “We really needed to take care of the ball in a more efficient way on our side of the net. I don’t think we had our best night receiving tonight. I don’t think that we were scooping up balls on defense like we are capable of. That serve pass game is really important. We fell a little short of that tonight.”
Tessa Lorenz-Neumann had four kills and Carlea Dagel added two kills to lead the Cadets.
Iowa Falls-Alden ends its season at 5-25 overall.
