
The September Housing Report was released by the Iowa REALTORS group, and it shows that the number of new home listings in September stood at 3,873, a jump of 13-point-5 percent from the 3,412 homes added last year at the same time.
Overall inventory also saw a significant increase of 22-point-4 percent with 8,636 homes on the market in September, an increase over the 7,053 in September of 2023.
Sales dropped by 9-point-2 percent with 2,668 homes sold, compared to the 2,939 homes sold last year.
Days on the market stood at 39 days, and the median sales price increased by 4-point-5 percent to 230-thousand dollars.
