The #6 (2A) South Hardin volleyball team will open its postseason as the #1-seed in 2A Region 6 when it hosts Manson-NW Webster in a regional quarterfinal Wednesday.
The Tigers (23-8) will look to resume racking up wins in succession after starting October 5-5. They’ve proven to be one of the area’s better attacking teams, led by Ava Salvo’s 3.3 kills per set, the best in the NICL-West. It’ll be South Hardin’s first match in over a week, having last competed at a triangular at Oelwein on Tuesday, October 15.
Manson-NW Webster (15-15) will play their second postseason match. They earned a home 3-0 sweep of Sioux Central in Monday’s first round match, where Peyton Davis recorded 12 kills and Ava Moline had 10.
The winner will advance to Monday’s regional semifinal against either Ridge View or East Sac County. The first serve will be at 7:00 p.m.
