Yesterday about 10:30am, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant with the assistance of The North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Tactical Team at 605 11th Street Northeast.
The target was 33-year-old Jacob Raymond Shafer of Mason City.
Shafer was wanted on six outstanding warrants and the suspect on a gun and drug investigation, and he was arrested at the scene. The warrants included for violation of his probation for trafficking in stolen weapons.
During the search warrant stolen property, suspected illegal firearms and methamphetamine were recovered.
The case is ongoing. Shafer is being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a 13-thousand dollar bond.
