The Hampton-Dumont School District is hoping district patrons will vote in favor of a proposed 17-million bond issue that goes before voters on November 5th.
If approved, the funds would be used for several areas, including a new 700-seat auditorium, new band and practice rooms, and for an updated science lab.
Val Gonzalez is a Hampton-Dumont graduate who has a daughter currently in the H-D District.
“You know, by voting yes, we ensure our school district has the capacity and quality to support our students and our community’s diverse and dynamic needs right now.”
Robyn Hansen is also a graduate of Hampton-Dumont who has kids in the district now.
“I believe Hampton Dumont has an amazing staff and the administration has gone above and beyond to put their 100% trust in our students and schools and I think we need the community to really step forward and come together and support in any way they can.”
60 percent voter approval is needed for the bond issue to pass.
