The Aplington-Parkersburg School District will host a community informational meeting regarding the upcoming bond referendum Tuesday. It’ll take place at Kothe Memorial Library at 1:00 p.m., and it’ll be the final meeting of its kind.
Superintendent Travis Fleshner says it’s a great opportunity to have questions answered.
“It’s really a great opportunity to get really a bigger picture, and then we kind of just start working our way through the whole process and what that looks like,” Fleshner says. ‘So we really encourage people, if they haven’t had a chance to reach out and look at our website, right at the top banner, ‘Focusing on the Future,’ they can find all kinds of good information inside of there and then obviously the community meetings are a great face-to-face opportunity to get any final questions answered before they go to the polls on November 5th.”
Fleshner reminds residents that it’s important to be as informed as possible about the proposal when they vote.
