In Set 3, DNH got out to a 10-5 lead, extended their lead to 21-13 and closed out the match sweep.
DNH Head Coach Diane Harms on the Wolverines play during an eight match win streak, the seniors final home match and their return to a regional final.
“Really being very aggressive defensively, we’re attacking balls offensively, we’re moving the ball around and hitting different shots and they’re just playing well together. They’re communicating with each other and keeping the floor balanced,” says Harms. “Anytime you can send your seniors out playing at home at the last possible time that you can, it’s special for them. They put so much into the program and for them to be able to have their final match at home is great, with one more match here to go. Very exciting heading into the regional final, the chance to go down and play at the state tournament again. We have to take care of business one more time and hopefully we’ll be able to be down there next week.”
Shannon Moorman had 10 kills, Izzy Norton added eight and Madde Buskohl added six kills to lead the Wolverines.
Dike-New Hartford (28-15) will face #13(2A) Wapsie Valley in regional final at Cedar Falls on Wednesday. That match will air on 99 The Wave.
