RadioOnTheGo News wants to provide you and your children with a few safety tips for Halloween.  One tip is for you and your children to walk defensively, to be aware of your surroundings.  Kids under the age of 12 generally should be with adults when trick-or-treating.  Older kids who are out by themselves should be aware of the rules of the road and practice being responsible pedestrians.

Motorists backing out of driveways on Halloween should roll down their windows to listen for children, as well as checking for them in all mirrors and reversing slowly.

Another tip concerns costumes.  Make sure they fit well, and avoid tripping hazards like capes.  Make sure masks fit well and the kids can see with them on.

Finally, don’t go inside homes, stick to houses with their lights on, and places you know when trick-or-treating.
