There were bond issues on Tuesday’s election ballot for two school districts in Franklin County. School bond issues need 60 percent approval in order to pass.
Voters in the Hampton-Dumont School District were asked to vote on a $17 million bond issue that, if approved, would go toward improvements at the high school. The bond failed with 1,539, or 54.17% voting yes on the measure, while 1,302 voted no, or 45.83%.
Voters in the West Fork School District were asked to vote on a $16,865,000 million bond issue that would go toward improvements at both the Sheffield and Rockwell campuses. The bond passed with 1,590, or 62.55% voting yes on the measure, while 952 voted no, or 37.45%.
