
The Wartburg women’s cross country team recorded its sixth consecutive American Rivers Conference championship Saturday in Cedar Rapids. The Knights scored 41 points, and were led by two local student-athletes.
Senior Ellie Meyer from Iowa Falls-Alden was Wartburg’s top finisher, placing fourth in a season-best time of 22:13. It was Meyer’s fourth career all-conference finish. Freshman Lydia Maas from Hampton-Dumont-CAL placed ninth in 22:45. Maas was also recognized with the conference’s Rookie of the Year award.

Wartburg will return to action Friday at the Saga Cup race at Luther.
