Hampton City Council Approves Airport Management Agreement Renewal

Thursday, the Hampton City Council reviewed an airport management agreement renewal with Hampton Municipal Airport Manager Jay Schumann. The proposed agreement included a 3% annual increase each year of the agreement which expires December 31st, 2027. Councilmember Barry Lamos made a motion to change the annual compensation increase from 3% to 5%. The motion passed on a 5-0 vote with councilmember Kevin Blanford absent from the meeting. 

In other business, the Hampton City Council approved an agreement with the North Iowa Area Council of Governments. NIACOG will provide technical assistance to the city to help prepare and submit a funding application for a fire department grant through FEMA.
