This week the Sheffield City Council continued to discuss how to move forward with a possible new fire station bond issue.

There was discussion about having a fire station committee of two council members and a few of the firefighters work together, a location was discussed, and it was also discussed if the bond issue should go before voters next year, or should it wait until 2026.

After discussion, the Sheffield City Council decided to have a public hearing on December 9th at 6pm to discuss with the public their feelings about a new fire station and having it built on the current hayfield property.
