The Ackley City Council held two meetings this week.
The Ackley council held a regular business meeting Wednesday night and discussed items to be placed in a fiscal year 2025 budget amendment.
In addition, the Ackley council discussed preliminary budget items for fiscal year 2026 including employee wages along with capital projects and garbage funds. Budget worksheets will be given to the city department heads in December for the city’s next fiscal year budget which will begin on July 1st.
Then Friday, the Ackley City Council held a special meeting and approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into an engineering services agreement with CGA Associates, Incorporated. This will be for the repaving of Franklin Street north of the railroad tracks to Sherman Avenue.
