Yesterday the Franklin County Board of Supervisors held discussions concerning planning for the fiscal year 2026 budget.
The Franklin supervisors then directed the county auditor to advise the department heads to budget no more than a 2-point-5 percent increase for operating budgets, but would like it if they could keep it below that level.
In other business, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors met with representatives from Franklin General Hospital regarding the possibility of Franklin County using FGH for pre-employment testing.
After discussion, the supervisors were okay with moving forward with the next steps in the process.
