Iowa Falls-Alden goes 0-3 at Nevada Girls Wrestling Quad

The Iowa Falls-Alden girls wrestling team began its season by going 0-3 at Monday’s quad at Nevada.

The Cadets fell to Humboldt 60-12, Marshalltown 60-21, and Nevada 63-18.

Against Humboldt, the Cadets won by forfeit at 125, and Brooklyn Gehling won a 2:51 fall over Madison Parker at 130.

The Cadets won four matches against Marshalltown. At 110, Sami Harms defeated Erandy Ibarra in a 0:23 fall. At 125, Ivy Sanders defeated Stephanie Avalos Gomez in a 0:20 fall. The Cadets won at 190 via an open weight. In a match that went the distance at 235, Rylee Robison defeated Mariah Hernandez in a 3-0 decision.

In the dual with Nevada, Sanders won a 3:38 fall over Gianna Pitcherello at 125. At 130, Gehling defeated Addison Good in a 1:58 fall. The Cadets got another six points by forfeit at 190.

The Cadets (0-3) will return to Nevada for a tournament Saturday.
