The second annual Jolly Jamboree Lighted Christmas Parade will take place in Parkersburg on Saturday, December 7. Businesses, teams, organizations, groups and individuals are invited to submit their entries. It’ll start at the United Methodist Church and end at the Vet’s building. Organizer Marcie Sharp encourages those interested to help celebrate the season.
“It’ll follow the same path as it did last year, and is going to end up at the Vet’s building because they are having Santa’s house and also an amazing supper again this year,” Sharp says. “There is no sign up for the lighted Christmas parade. Just come as you can and please have it lit up. There are two rules. We throw nothing for this parade, and nobody can walk just because it is pretty dark out there in some of the locations. So we are excited about that. If you did not get an entry last year, we want you there. And if you did get an entry last year, thank you very much. Please come again and show the joy of Jolly Jamboree.”
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., with staging beginning at 4:00.
