Fire departments from five jurisdictions are on the scene of a hay bale fire at a Summit Farms location west of Alden along Hardin County Highway D-20. No injuries reported.
Alden Fire Department Spokesman Jeff Fiscus says they received the first report of the fire about 2am today. There are three stacks of hay bales that each would fill a gymnasium, and may have up to 9-thousand bales in each stack.
Besides Alden, fire departments from Buckeye, Iowa Falls, Williams and Bradford are on the scene, along with other agencies.
