The AGWSR girls basketball team will begin its season Friday with a non-conference game at Madrid.
Coming off a 13-10 season last year, the Cougars will build around some key pieces. Center Josie Kuper is back for her senior season at center after leading the team in scoring and rebounds with 15.1 and 10.9 per game last year. Point guard Trevyn Smith scored 10.4 per game last year and is back to captain the offense.

Madrid is coming off a 6-17 season last year, and they’ll replace four starters.
The teams have not met before in the Bound era. The tipoff will be at 6:30 p.m.
