The Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Iowa Falls-Alden and West Fork girls wrestling teams will take part in a holiday week quad at Northwood-Kensett on Monday. It will be a quick turnaround in competition for all three teams, as all were in action at tournaments on Saturday.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL (1-0) won their inaugural dual 30-24 over Webster City on November 18. The Bulldogs finished in eighth place at the Lady E-Hawk tournament at Emmetsburg on Saturday. Top placings at tournament included Megan Severs (2-0) was the champion at 145, Maren Subbert (3-0) as the runner-up at 190 and Elise Kuper placed fifth at 170.
Iowa Falls-Alden (1-5) went 1-2 at Ballard dual team tournament on November 21. The Cadets finished tied for 24th place at the Central Iowa Kickoff at Nevada on Saturday. The Cadets were led by Kynnedy Gunderson (3-3) who placed fourth at 190.
West Fork (2-1) went 2-1 in their season-opening home quad with wins over BCLUW-SH and Eagle Grove, and a loss to Clear Lake. The Warhawks finished in sixth place at the Lady E-Hawk tournament at Emmetsburg on Saturday. Top 3 placings at the tournament included a runner-up finish by Jenny Ramirez (4-2) at 145, third place by Josi Janssen (6-1) at 140, third place by Autumn Wood (2-5) at 155 and third place by Fernanda Ramirez (6-1 at 170.
The quad begins at 6:00 p.m. in Northwood.
