The Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Iowa Falls-Alden and West Fork girls wrestling teams kicked off the holiday week with a quad at Northwood-Kensett on Monday. All three programs finished the night with a 2-1 record.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL won 36-30 over Iowa Falls-Alden, won 42-12 over Northwood-Kensett and lost to West Fork. The Bulldogs were led by Maren Subbert who went 3-0 at 190 and won by two falls and a forfeit. Elsie Kuper went 2-1 at 170, and won both of her matches by fall.
Iowa Falls-Alden won 30-24 over West Fork, won 36-12 over Northwood-Kensett and lost to the H-D-CAL. Bryn Vieth went 3-0 at 155 and won by two falls and a forfeit. Sami Harms went 2-0 at 115 and won by a fall and forfeit to lead the Cadets.
West Fork won 27-23 over Hampton-Dumont-CAL, won 36-12 over Northwood-Kensett and lost to IFA. Three Warhawks went 3-0 at the quad including Fernanda Ramirez at 170 who won by two falls and a decision, and Josi Janssen at 140 and Jenny Ramirez at 145, who each won by one fall and two forfeits. Autumn Wood at 155 went 2-0 and won both of her matches by fall.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL at 3-1 will host Lake Mills in the program’s first ever home dual on Tuesday, December 3rd.
Iowa Falls-Alden at 3-6 will have a quick turnaround as they take part in the River Hawk Girls Early Bird Invite at Mason City on Tuesday.
West Fork at 4-2 will return to action at Nashua-Plainfield triangular on Tuesday, December 17th.
