The Dike-New Hartford girls basketball team was unable to keep up with an efficient offense, and was defeated 59-34 at home by Decorah Tuesday. It was the first game under new head coach Matt Dove.
The Vikings scored the game’s first 13 points, holding the Wolverines scoreless until the 4:24 mark of the first quarter. DNH regained their footing to make the game more competitive offensively, and trailed 33-16 at halftime. Decorah showed no let up in the second half and rolled to their first win in the series after Dike-New Hartford won the previous three.
Izzy Norton and Silvey Fuller each led the Wolverines with 11 points.
Dike-New Hartford (0-1) will return to action Tuesday, December 3 at East Marshall.
