In the boys game, Wapsie Valley started strong and led by nine points before the Cougars closed the deficit to 15-10 after the first quarter. AGWSR raced back to take a 16-15 lead on two free throws by Blake Willems, and the teams traded lead changes before the Warriors pulled out to a 29-23 halftime lead. AGWSR kept within striking distance, but Wapsie Valley took a double digit lead in the third quarter and sealed the game in the fourth. Bo Starr led with 15 points. The Cougars are 0-1.
