This week the Butler County Board of Supervisors met with Sara Janssen with County Social Services, who provided General Assistance updates.
Janssen says that she has had the most traffic through their doors since COVID-19.
They have one juvenile that has cost over 17-thousand dollars since August and this creates an issue where they may run out of funds for rent/burial assistance.
In other business, the Butler County Board of Supervisors approved recommendations made by the Opioid Settlement Committee for the county.
Funds will be used to help pay for critical incident stress training, and to help pay for Lucas devices. These devices deliver chest compressions for CPR and were recently approved to be covered under the Opioid funds.
