A workshop meeting was held by the Hampton City Council Monday night.
Derek Johnson and Brett Walker from the ISG firm discussed options for #4 and #6 1st Street Northwest.
The consensus of the Hampton council was to proceed with Option A and to structurally secure the buildings for an estimated cost of 498-thousand dollars. Option B was to demolish the buildings and repair the facades of the neighboring buildings at an estimated cost of 615-thousand dollars.
