The Iowa Falls-Alden boys wrestling team earned two wins at Tuesday’s North Central Conference triangular at St. Edmond. The Cadets defeated Clear Lake 41-33 and the hosts 64-6.
Against the Lions, the Cadets won the dual despite only winning three weight classes which were contested. Levi Langfitt at 144 and Keaton Mulford at 157 each won by fall. Trevor Bailey at 190 earned a 17-2 technical fall. The Cadets benefited from four wins by forfeit to gain the advantage in the dual.
The dual against St. Edmond was much more lopsided, with the Cadets winning all but one weight class. Those who won by fall included Zane Gillespie at 106, Sam Robinson at 132 and Brooks Hickman at 215.
The Cadets will return to action at Saturday’s Saydel Invitational.
