Jill Smith has submitted her resignation as the head coach of the AGWSR volleyball program.
Smith served in the role for six seasons, highlighted by a state tournament appearance in 2022, where they reached the Class 1A semifinals. During her tenure, the Cougars advanced to regional finals in 2022 and 2023.
Smith coached two daughters during her tenure. Brynn Smith graduated in 2023 and is currently a member of the Tusculum University beach volleyball team in Tennessee. Trevyn Smith will graduate in 2025, and will join the volleyball program at Southwest Minnesota State University.
The item was approved at Monday’s AGWSR School Board meeting.
