The latest U-S Drought Monitor Report shows improvement in Iowa.
Over 20 percent of the state is listed as being drought free this week compared to over 7 percent last week.
Most of the drought free area is in southern Iowa.
In addition, the coverage area of the abnormally dry and moderate drought categories dropped slightly.
However, a majority of the broadcast area remains in a moderate drought.
