The #14 (2A) Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys wrestling team split a home triangular Thursday. They defeated St. Edmond 75-6 and lost to #5 (2A) Humboldt 39-30.

Against the Wildcats, the Bulldogs earned three wins by fall, including by Madox Strother at 106, Brody Robertson at 215 and Maddon Evans at 285. They won two decisions, a major decision and a technical fall, but it wasn’t enough to overcome six pins by Humboldt. The Wildcats also earned three decisions and a technical fall to earn the road win.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL was dominant against St. Edmond, winning all but one match. The Bulldogs won one decision, three falls, and St. Edmond had nine open classes.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL (4-3) will return to action at Saturday’s Jim Kinyon Norsemen Invitational at Roland-Story.
