Today Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that opioid treatment and recovery providers in 7 cities have been awarded a total of more than 10-million dollars in state grants to expand or improve facilities or develop sober-living housing options in a statewide effort to better serve Iowans impacted by the ongoing opioid epidemic.
Six organizations, including Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Healthcare in Mason City, have been awarded a total of more than 8-million dollars in Iowa Opioid Treatment and Recovery Infrastructure Program grants. These grants will assist in the new construction and expansion of current treatment and recovery facilities, as well as the rehabilitation of existing structures.
Prairie Ridge will receive a 2-million dollar grant to renovate and add new additions for their therapy offices lost when the space was repurposed for a methadone clinic.
