Friday, the Cerro Gordo and Floyd County Board of Supervisors held a joint meeting in Mason City and discussed the consideration of a sharing agreement with Cerro Gordo County Engineer Brandon Billings due to Floyd County Engineer Jacob Page’s resignation effective January 10th.
Cerro Gordo’s concerns of sharing were in regard to the ability to respond to the public, especially if there were events occurring at the same time in both counties, details of arrangements, and interest in a 6-month option before considering a longer term.
Consensus of the group was to have liaisons for each county to further discuss a potential arrangement and report options to the two boards for consideration before January 10th.
