Well, it’s been over 3 weeks with our newly adopted felines, Casserole and Betty. (Adopted from the Greenbelt Humane Society in Iowa Falls)  They are now wandering around the whole house and no longer weary of the dog.  We put a child gate up after the 3rd night so they could wander the house but still have a dog free zone in the spare room.  The gate is left open now and they spend most of their time in the rest of the house.  I am so happy to report, even Betty, the one most skittish and afraid of the dog is now rubbing up on Cowboy for attention.  She is more playful, and loves to hide and sneak around.  Casserole is a lay in the middle of the floor or at your feet kind of guy that wants belly rubs anytime he sees a human.  The biggest hurdle in all this, is Cowboy. He still has only child syndrome, even though its only been a few months with out our previous cat, Loaf, had passed.  He will just have to adjust.  Once again, I highly recommend adoption for your pets.  Even if you have other pets, you can get an adult cat or dog to accept your family by giving them time and patience. It won’t happen over night. Please Don’t Shop, ADOPT.
