The “last-mile” facility in Mason City constructed by Amazon is now open.
Last mile facilities are warehouse locations from which goods can be shipped for the final leg of their delivery route.
Workers at the facility sort, package, load and deliver orders to Amazon customers in the area.
The opening will allow for up to 100 new jobs, and the hiring process is continuing.
The new Amazon last-mile facility is located on the south side of town at 44-hundred South Washington Avenue.
