An Ackley man won a top prize in the “$20,000 Crossword” scratch game from the Iowa Lottery.
Adam Simons says he dropped his girlfriend off at work early on New Year’s Day, then bought his ticket at the Casey’s store in the 900 block of Cardinal Avenue by Interstate 35 in Dows.
He took the ticket home and uncovered the big prize.
The “$20,000 Crossword” scratch game is a $2 game that features 34 top prizes of $20,000.
