The AP/GC girls wrestling team placed second with 133.5 points at Friday’s Megan Black Invitational at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. They finished behind only the hosts in a 17-team field.
The champions included Grace Storjohann at 120, Caylee Harken at 140 and Zoey Uhlenhopp at 145.
Storjohann put together another dominant outing with three pins, all of which happened in the first period.
Harken won a 15-5 major decision in the quarterfinal, and pins in the semifinal and final.
Uhlenhopp earned three pins, including a 0:47 win in the quarterfinal.
The team had three fourth place finishes, including Jocelyn Freed at 130, Ellie Reints at 135 and Lila Reints at 140.
AP/GC will return to action Monday at a tournament at Osage.
