The Iowa Falls-Alden boys wrestling team had five placewinners at Saturday’s Osage Wrestling Tournament. The team placed 13th with 70.5 points.
Kolbe Hansen was the team’s highest placewinner, third at 113. After losing in the first round, Hansen won his next five matches, including two falls and a 6-0 decision in the third place match.
Zane Gillespie placed fifth at 106. He started with a first round win, but a loss in the quarterfinal sent him to the consolation bracket. He fell in the consolation semifinal to advance to the fifth place match, where he won an 11-0 major decision.
Keaton Mulford placed sixth at 150. He won in the first round and lost in the quarterfinal on his way to a 3-3 outing.
Trevor Bailey placed seventh at 190. He won in the first round, but a quarterfinal loss sent him to the back side. Going 1-1 in his next two matches, he finished with a 15-7 major decision in the seventh place match.
