The AP/GC and North Butler-Clarksville girls wrestling teams each went 2-2 at Monday’s Osage Girls Duals.
AP/GC defeated Janesville 54-12, beat Nashua-Plainfield 60-6, lost to Lake Mills 43-27 and fell to the hosts 72-12.
Against Janesville, the Falcons got pins by Grace Storjohann at 120, Caylee Harken at 140 and Zoey Uhlenhopp at 145. In the dual with Nashua-Plainfield, the wins by fall were by Uhlenhopp at 155 and Kira Cox at 170. Against Osage, the pins were by Cox at 170 and Storjohann at 120. In the dual with Lake Mills, the Falcons got pins by Evelyn Geerdes at 105, Storjohann at 120 and Harken at 140. Uhlenhopp won a 6-5 decision at 155.
With her three wins, Storjohann became the first wrestler in AP/GC girls program history to reach 100 career wins.
North Butler-Clarksville beat Janesville 36-30, defeated Nashua-Plainfield 42-6, lost to Osage 78-6 and fell to Lake Mills 60-18.
Against Janesville, North Butler-Clarksville’s only wins were by forfeit, but got their team points due to Janesville open weight classes. In the dual with Nashua-Plainfield, North Butler-Clarksville had pins by Alexa Gott at 170 and Maliyah Liddle at 190. Against Osage, the only win was a fall by Liddle at 190. In the dual with Lake Mills, pins were recorded by Addy Johnson at 105 and Liddle at 190.
In their next action, AP/GC will host a quad Tuesday with North Butler-Clarksville, Hampton-Dumont-CAL and Columbus Catholic. Action will start at 6:00 p.m.
