Monday night the Grundy Center City Council received the annual department updates from the EMS, fire, and police departments.
Each department discussed their proposed budgets for fiscal year 2026.
For example, Grundy Center Police Chief James Natvig is requesting an increase in uniform expenses per officer.
Natvig discussed vehicle supplies and maintenance, computer equipment for the squad cars, firearm expenses and an increase in a cash transfer to a trust account to 30-thousand dollars a year for the next squad car purchase.
No formal action was taken by the Grundy Center City Council.
