The Clarksville girls and boys basketball teams will travel to BCLUW for a Iowa Star Conference crossover doubleheader on Tuesday.

Paige Kampmann sparks the offense with 22.6 points per game at 41.6 percent from the field. Hannah Wangsness is the leading rebounder at 11 boards per game.
The BCLUW girls (6-2, 5-0 Iowa Star South) have won six straight games including a 78-23 win over North Tama on December 20. The Comets get to the rim with 40.8 rebounds per game, with 19 of those being offensive rebounds. Grace Farnsworth leads with 16.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
Clarksville Head Coach Ross Timmermans on working against the Comet’s ability to control the boards.
“They are a tough team. They have some size. They’ve rebounded very well in their games that they’ve played,” says Timmermans. “They had 53 rebounds against Baxter as a team and they had 47 rebounds as a team against Grundy Center. They know how to rebound the basketball and that gives them a lot of extra possessions. We’ve got to find a way to slow them down on the glass. They’re a very good basketball team. We’ll have our work cut out for us.”
The Clarksville boys (1-7, 1-5 Iowa Star North) enters off non-conference loss 62-47 at Turkey Valley on Thursday, January 2. The Indians keep defense busy inside the perimeter shooting at 37.5 percent from the field. Sam Hoodjer leads with 20.8 points per game. John Stauffer is the top rebounder with 8.1 per game.
The BCLUW boys (1-6, 1-4 Iowa Star South) has lost five straight including a 72-68 loss to North Tama on December 20. The Comets are a strong offensive rebounding team with 15.9 per game. Aidan Frank is the Comets top scorer with 10 points per game
