Officials with the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the County Endowment Fund Program.

Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation Program Director Tam Elerding tells RadioOnTheGo News that applications are now being accepted for several funds.

“We have the Schiller Fund, and that is for the Iowa Falls Alden School District that includes the communities of Iowa Falls, Alden, Owasa, and Buckeye. And then we have the Wilma Marie Meyer Fund that is restricted to Iowa Falls, Alden, and Ackley projects. And then we have our County Endowment Fund Program, and that is for all of Hardin County. And we have our Arts and Culture Fund, and that is strictly for supporting our arts and culture throughout all of Hardin County. But we do have a preference given to live entertainment.”

Elerding says applications are being taken via the internet.

“We have a few questions and then we have a budget and hopefully that our nonprofits have some fundraising that they’ve done. We really look at that too that our applicants, they’re just not asking for a handout. We’re wanting to see that they have worked for some money that they might be applying for. Their income and expenses must match.”

The application deadline is February 14th.  To apply go to endowhardincoiowa.org.
