A February 20th trial date has been set for a 37-year-old Alden man charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon-violation of individual rights.
The state alleges on November 16th in Alden, Ryan Matthew Barrick drove his Ford F250 Super Duty pickup truck into a van owned by the victim. The victim was standing next to the van at the time and had to back out of the way to keep from being hit by Barrick.
Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon-violation of individual rights, is a class “D” felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
