Today current South Hardin Schools Superintendent Dr. Adam Zellmer provided an update on the progress of the search for his replacement, who will take over on July 1st.
Zellmer says the candidate pool is strong with 17 applicants, including 5 from out of state. He says this diverse group brings a range of experiences and qualifications.
The next steps include on January 14th the school boards of the Eldora-New Providence and Hubbard-Radcliffe School Districts will select between 5-8 semi-finalists.
January 20th will involve screening interviews which will narrow the pool to 3 finalists.
January 27th formal interviews with stakeholders, including staff, parents, students, and community members will take place.
The goal is to name the new superintendent in early February.
