#4(2A)C-G-D Boys Wrestling Will Compete in NCC Triangular at Humboldt on Thursday

The #4(2A) Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys wrestling team will take competition mat for first time in 2025 as part of a North Central Conference triangular against Clear Lake and hosted by #7(2A)Humboldt on Thursday.

C-G-D (5-5) went 2-4 at Battle of Waterloo including wins over Wapsie Valley and #3(2A) West Delaware, all four losses were to top five 3A programs in #1 Southeast Polk, #3 Indianola, #4 Ankeny and #5 Bettendorf on December 20 and 21. Linden Phetxouphone is 12-1 at 120, Adrian Phetxouphone is 11-2 at 132 and Charlie Campbell is 16-1 at 190 to lead the Cowboys.

Clear Lake (9-11) won duals over Mason City and Newman Catholic in a non-conference triangular on Tuesday. Christian Dunning is 24-0 at 175, Aaron Richtsmeier is 22-2 at 285 and Aiden Hippen is 20-5 at 157.  

Humboldt (5-2) placed fifth at Osage tournament with 10 medalists on Saturday. Cyler Cirks is 12-3 at 132, Tyce Clarken is 14-2 at 138 and Broedy Hendricks is 13-2 at 190 to lead the Wildcats. 

The first dual begins at 6:00 p.m. in Humboldt.
