Wednesday night the Aplington City Council appointed Deb Prier as City Clerk until March 1st.
As of March 2nd, Michelle Thede will become the City Clerk, and the city will advertise to hire a new Assistant City Clerk/Utility Clerk, with the application deadline of February 7th.
In other business, the Aplington City Council approved the mileage reimbursement rate to mirror that of Butler County, and approved an increase in reservation fees for the city shelter and community center.
