The Ackley City Council Wednesday approved to amend the current fiscal year budget, and received an update on the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget.
The Ackley council discussed the property tax levy, and the city clerk requested guidance for funding on the depot roof replacement and purchase of a dump truck for the street department.
The city clerk informed the council that the preliminary budget numbers for the next fiscal year show the water, sewer, and street accounts ending the year in the negative.
The Ackley City Council also authorized the mayor to enter into an engineering services agreement with CGA Associates, Incorporated for the fiscal year 2026 storm sewer projects.
