The Iowa Supreme Court reselected Justice Susan Christensen of Harlan as chief justice, who will serve a 2-year term.
Christensen was first selected in 2020, and is the 2nd woman to serve as chief justice of Iowa’s highest court.
She has served as a judge for 17 years, including 7 on the state supreme court.
Christensen will give the state of the judiciary address to the legislature on January 15th in Des Moines.
