The Dike-New Hartford boys basketball team was on fire offensively in Monday’s 65-37 home win over North Butler in non-conference action.
After a close first quarter, the Wolverines gained control by outscoring the Bearcats 21-5 in the second to create separation. North Butler scored 12 points each in the third and fourth quarters, but it wasn’t nearly enough to make the game competitive.
The Wolverines (5-5) will return to action Tuesday at Union (8-4) for a North Iowa Cedar League crossover doubleheader. The night will start with the girls game between the Wolverines (3-7) and Knights (2-11).
North Butler (3-7) will be at #7 (1A) Northwood-Kensett Tuesday on 104.9 KLMJ.
