The Iowa Falls-Alden girls wrestling team placed fourth and Hampton-Dumont-CAL was fifth at Saturday’s Girls North Central Conference Invite hosted by the Cadets.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s Maren Subbert was the champion at 190. After a first round bye, she got pins in the semifinal and final to win the title. Teammate Megan Severs placed second at 145. After a first round bye, she won a pin in the semifinal, and lost an 11-2 major decision in the final.
Iowa Falls-Alden’s Rylee Robison earned a podium spot by placing third at 235. In a round robin weight class, she went 1-2.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL will return to action Monday by hosting a quad with Algona, Nevada and Perry, which’ll air on 104.9 KLMJ at 5:30 p.m.
Iowa Falls-Alden will be in action at Monday’s triangular with Lake Mills at Clear Lake, starting at 6:00 p.m.
