A reminder that the National Weather Service for this winter dropped Wind Chill Watches/Warnings, and instead are now using Extreme Cold Watches/Warnings and Cold Weather Advisories.

For the broadcast area, Cold Weather Advisories are issued when the wind chill is expected to be between 25-34 degrees below zero.

In addition, Extreme Cold Warnings are issued when the wind chill is expected to be at least 35 degrees below zero or colder.

No wind requirement is used when determining Extreme Cold Watches/Warnings and Cold Weather Advisories.
