The Hampton City Council Monday held a budget workshop meeting.
Hampton City Manager Ron Dunt presented several items relating to a bond issuance for structurally securing #4 and #6 1st Street Northwest.
Dunt presented a not to exceed 700-thousand dollar bond and recommended to the council that they do a 5-year bond and get it paid so the city can move on to other project funding.
Dunt reported that the city has applied for grants to help minimize the amount the city will need to borrow.
The Hampton City Council is expected to further discuss the matter during Thursday’s regular business meeting.
