The city council in Grundy Center last night met with Alex Tungland from Rite Environmental, Incorporated regarding a rate increase for solid waste collection.
The city will see a $1 increase per residence for residential trash, as well as a $10 increase on residential dumpster deliveries and no changes to the recycling rate per residence effective this month.
The last increase in rates was in 2022, and the city will need to consider an ordinance to amend rates as well.
No formal action was taken by the Grundy Center City Council.
